Managing administrator accounts on a platform such as OpenResa is crucial to guaranteeing the security and fluidity of operations. Administrators have privileged rights, including the management of users, bookings and sensitive club or company information. It is therefore essential to have robust security measures in place for recovering an administrator account in the event of a loss of access.

We offer several secure methods for restoring access to an administrator account. These methods have been designed not only to ensure rapid recovery, but also to prevent malicious intrusion. This article describes the recovery procedures in detail.

The different recovery options

If you have forgotten your password and your e-mail address is entered in your administrator account, you can click on "Forgotten password" to receive a link to a new password.

When you no longer have access to your administrator account, either because it has been compromised or because the associated e-mail address is incorrect or missing, a security access code will be required to confirm your identity and restore access. This code can be transmitted in several ways, depending on the information you have previously configured on your account.

1. Sending the security code by e-mail

If an e-mail address is associated with your club account or administrator account, we can generate a new password and send it directly to this address. This option is quick and efficient for users who have immediate access to their email.

- Prerequisite: A valid e-mail address must have been entered when setting up the club account or administrator account.

- Advantages: Fast and immediate.

2. Security code sent by SMS

If you have set up a mobile phone number on the club account or administrator account, we can send you an SMS containing the security access code.

You will then need to send this access code to our e-mail address support@openresa.com to retrieve a new password.

- Prerequisite: A mobile phone number must have been added to the account.

- Benefits: Accessible on the move and convenient for users who prefer mobile notifications.

3. Security code sent by post

In some cases, we send the access code by post to the address linked to the club account. This method is used as a last resort, when no e-mail address or telephone number is available or functional.

- Prerequisite: A valid postal address must be registered in the club account details.

- Advantages: Reliable even if all other digital access methods are lost.

Sent to the official postal address if no information is available.

If no postal address has been specified in the club account, or if we consider that the postal address given in the club account is unreliable, we refer to external sources to ensure that mail is sent to the correct destination. For example, if the club or organisation is an association, we will use the address given in the Journal Officiel. If the club is a company, mail will be sent to the address of the registered office.

- Journal Officiel: For associations, the legal address published there will be used as a last resort.

- Registered office: For companies, we will send mail to the address recorded in public or administrative databases.

Conclusion

Setting up an administrator account on OpenResa has been designed to offer several secure options tailored to different users.

Don't forget that the security of your account also depends on the regular updating of information such as e-mail, telephone number and postal address. So if you need us, we can help you recover your administrator account.
